The balls are all used, picked up from a golf course. They are different types as you can see from just some of them in the pictures:

Most have writing or logos and maybe stains.
However, they all were balance tested to find the heavy spot on the ball. They have a line around them so they can be lined up to the flag. The line goes from the heavy side of the ball to the light side so it will roll in a straight line when putting.
